Because we love nature so much, we are committed to doing our part in order to help protect its beauty. For your host family Egger, "sustainability" is more than just an empty phrase but a central value of Hotel THERESA. We are deeply engaged in sustaining the Zillertal valley's nature as something to admire and enabling you to spend sustainable holidays here with us. 

What we do in order to make your holiday at Hotel THERESA as sustainable as possible:

Wellness holidays in Tyrol are even more enjoyable if your holiday spa is exclusively using self-produced green energy, right? Well, it is even better to hear that the entire energy used by the 3,500 m² wellness area at Hotel THERESA is produced by our own solar panels. Perfect conditions for an enjoyable sustainable holiday. Self-sufficieny and green energy make it quite easy to truely relax and enjoy the moment. 

Sustainable culinary joy has many facets – one of them is cuisine. If you have ever been a guest at Hotel THERESA in the Zillertal valley, you know how passionately Head Chef Stefan Egger delights our guests with his culinary creations. From the very beginning, it has been a central concern for us to use only the finest regional and seasonal ingredients in the THERESA kitchen. Head Chef Stefan Egger knows the local suppliers and producers personally and regularly checks the quality of their products on site. By the way, we also produce some delicacies ourselves at the Hotel THERESA: the honey comes is produced by the THERESA bees, and the game meat is from our own hunting. Additionaly, for more than now 25 years, the THERESA cuisine has only been serving freshwater fish, of course locally from Tyrol. We promise you one thing: sustainability tastes simply wonderful.

Although we are located in the very heart of the Alps, getting to Hotel THERESA is anything but difficult and can be done easily in an environmentally friendly way. From the charming little town of Jenbach, the Zillertalbahn railway will take you almost right to the doorstep of Hotel THERESA – simply and sustainably. A ride on the “Zilli” is not only a small panoramic journey through the valley, the locomotive itself, however, also adds a special touch to your trip with its unmistakable charm. We are certain you will never miss your car during your stay with us: all excursion destinations and ski lifts are easily accessible by train or by the ski and hiking buses – the latter can even be used completely free of charge with your guest card.

Do you have a special destination that is not so easy to reach? The THERESA shuttle or one of our rental e-bikes will take you directly to your holiday adventure and back, without detours. And if you do decide to visit us by car, Hotel THERESA offers six e-charging stations in order to ensure that not only you can recharge your batteries with us, but your car as well.

During your holiday at Hotel THERESA, you will wake up each morning to find yourself surrounded by countless possibilities to shape your day just the way you like. The best part? Your activity programme at Hotel THERESA begins right at the door step of your holiday home – whether you choose to explore the Zillertal valley and the surrounding mountains while jogging, hiking, walking or biking. Would you like to see the wintery mountain peaks from up close and  gracefully glide down the slopes? Then conveniently take the ski bus straight to your snowy adventure.

The team at our family-run hotel is dedicated to making both our daily business and your stay as sustainable as possible. You really don’t have to reinvent the wheel to achieve this – just like in life, it’s the many little things we’ve integrated into everyday hotel life that add up to make a difference. It starts in our restaurant, where we have completely replaced plastic packaging and straws. Our outdoor lighting is switched off via a timer and all waste generated at Hotel THERESA is carefully sorted and properly disposed of.

These small touches extend to your room as well: the bedding in which you fall asleep after an exciting day in the Zillertal valley is washed with Tyrolean detergent. And if you’ve grown fond of the “Valentina & Philippa” care products in your bathroom, rest assured – they are refillable, cruelty-free and produced right here in Austria.
