SHOPPING

If you fany some serious shopping, there are factory-outlet sales for Austrian clothing from Pfister, Geiger, Giesswein and Sportalm (all between 18 and 70 km away). You can buy Austria's finest schnapps at the Rochelt Distillery (40 km) and, of course, there is Riedel Glas (60 km), whose glassware is even on display at New York's Museum of Modern Art. And if you leave the cultural path, you can shop in Zell, Mayrhofen or outside the valley in Rattenberg, Schwaz or Innsbruck. In 45 minutes you will have reached the centre of Tyrol's capital city.
